Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using EmaniPay, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
EmaniPay provides escrow-protected payment services for social commerce. We act as a neutral third party that holds funds until the buyer confirms receipt of goods or services or until the auto-release period expires.
3. Escrow Process & Protection
- Holding Funds: When a buyer makes a payment, EmaniPay holds the funds in a secure escrow account.
- Confirmation: Buyers are encouraged to confirm receipt of the item to release funds to the vendor.
- Auto-Release: Funds are automatically released to the vendor after a specified period (24-72 hours depending on order value) if no dispute is raised.
- Fees: We charge a platform fee of 2% from the consumer and 2% from the vendor payout for our escrow protection services.
4. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a disagreement, either party can open a dispute. EmaniPay uses a three-stage resolution process:
- AI Triage: Our AI analyzes the evidence provided by both parties.
- Vendor Response: The vendor has 24 hours to respond to the claim.
- Human Mediation: If no agreement is reached, an EmaniPay mediator will make a final, binding decision within 48-72 hours.
5. Payouts
Vendors can request payouts once funds are released from escrow. Payouts are made to the bank account details provided by the vendor. Payout processing times may vary based on bank schedules.
6. Prohibited Activities
You may not use EmaniPay for any illegal transactions or activities that violate Nigerian law or international financial regulations. We reserve the right to suspend accounts suspected of fraudulent activity.
7. Limitation of Liability
EmaniPay is a facilitator of transactions and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of the items sold by vendors.
